This is the reason for the foundation of Bumble Goosie, the online store.

As a baby I called this little fellow (my grandson) Bumbles and felt the shop needed part of him in its name.

I am a smocker and knitter and love to sew, taught lovingly by my Nan and mum, I found myself hand smocking dresses and garments for friends with children. When my daughter became pregnant with Smith I began knitting again. So many people asked about the garments that I started thinking about selling them.

All knitted and sewn garments were all previously made by me to order, are now available as completed product ready to send.

Our knits have been designed by me in Perth Western Australia and have been ethically made in South America via Fair Trade, using amazingly talented artisans who craft our designs from the finest natural alpaca yarns, pima and organic cotton. The baby knitted clothes we produce are of a superior quality and use only the softest, gentlest natural materials.

The Fair Trade ensures these women receive health insurance benefits, above minimum wage, education and training, we at Bumble Goosie are very proud to be supplying a product that not only satisfies in quality but also is helping women to provide an income for their families.

All sewn products are also designed by myself and produced by my in house machinists and are made with love and care.

We pride ourselves in our workmanship and the choice of fabric we complete our garment with.

We use Liberty of London as it has stood the test of time, having worn pieces worn by my mother made from Liberty and have put my children in and they still look amazing says it all.  As well as the fact that Liberty of London has been manufacturing fabric since 1872.

Other fabrics we use are 100% natural fibres, we believe young skin should be protected by soft, luxurious and natural fabric, after all they are only young once
